On Saturday morning we picked Mackenzie up from her first week long overnight summer camp. She said her favorite part was swimming every day! She liked the horseback riding, but said the trail was narrow and the horse was weaving from side to side on the narrow trail, and she didn't like that, but still liked the horseback riding. They swam in the lake, went on an obstacle course, which was very challenging, and had a girls pajama party where they painted their nails and fun stuff like that, and many more activities. They studied and learned about Joseph and Genesis 50:20 was the theme verse, "...God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."
It felt longer than a week. Even though it was a fun week for her, and Cam survived without his "didter" all week, we were so glad to have her back! Our family was not complete with her gone. She's glad to be home too! We're all glad to be together as a family again!

Encouragement for Moms!
This past week or so my favorite blog, besides ours of course, has been posting some wonderful encouraging words for moms! You can click on the link here on our blog (Girl Talk). It's pastor's wife Carolyn Mahaney and her daughters who have the blog. Some posts are just informative or funny, or fun to read, and often they are such encouraging and biblical words.
So, for my friends and family who are moms, go to Girl Talk blog and look over the posts there, beginning on July 7th. May you get encouragement and zeal for the eternal work that you're doing in raising your children in the ways of the Lord!

Way to go Kori!
On our date last night we made a stop at Barnes & Noble. Why? To pick up a copy of Latino Future Magazine. Why? Because MY SISTER shot the photo on the cover! AND some photos inside! We were so impressed by the photos! And I am so proud of my sister! If you're in front of a magazine stand at Barnes & Noble this month find it, and check out the cover as well as page 4, 10 (she's in two of the pics on this page) pages 56-63 and 75-79. And her web site is http://www.koristantonphotography.com

A great week
Well, it's been a good week. Brad went back to work and his leg did ok. It swelled up some but he elevated it most evenings. The last couple of days it doesn't seem to be swelling much at all. So we're very thankful for the healing that is continuing!
A sweet friend of mine came over on Monday morning and helped me clean the house. The kids went to a friends house, so we had concentrated cleaning. It was wonderful, such a blessing! The house still looks great!
Tuesday evening my cousin Kristi and her husband Doug and their kids, Chloe, Josiah, Emma, and Sophie came to visit on their way to relocate from Mobile, Alabama to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. They left Wednesday after lunch. We had a short but good visit with them.
Wednesday morning Cam woke up with hives. He had been on an antibiotic for an ear infection. So, now he's not only allergic to Penicillin, but also Cephalosporins. Bummer!! Here we are, four days later and he only has a few hives left here and there. It was scary though because his lips swelled up a lot! I gave him Benadryl right away! We checked his tongue for swelling and it was ok. The Dr. wanted to check him out as well. No steroids needed like last time, just continue with the Benadryl. I think we're in the clear now. Praise the Lord his breathing/life was not in danger!
Our 11th wedding anniversary was yesterday! We had a productive day around the house and a 'date in' last night! We were going to go out, but our friends who were going to watch the kids for us got sick. It was really ok. I think you reach a point in life when you realize that it's just not all about BIG. We felt so good about the productive day we had had around the house and were completely satisfied to spend the evening at home. We put the kids to bed (not as early as we had planned) and Brad picked up dinner from Newks for us. We ate in quiet and enjoyed the delicious 'Mediterranean Pizza' and 'Newks Favorite Salad'. Then we watched a movie I had borrowed from a friend weeks ago and had never gotten around to watching. Plus, next weekend we'll trade date nights with our friends anyway!
So, really it was a great week!
